About the Role:
A well-established residential construction company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join its growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of residential building practices and a passion for delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects from concept through to tender submission.
• Interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, and specifications to assess project scope and requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to obtain pricing and ensure accurate costings.
• Evaluate project risks and provide recommendations to mitigate cost overruns.
• Monitor budgets and provide cost control support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and update estimating databases and tender documentation.
• Collaborate with construction managers, site supervisors, and design teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in estimating within the residential construction sector.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft, CostX, Databuild, PlanSwift or similar).
• Strong understanding of Australian building codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Estimating) or equivalent qualification preferred.
• WHS White Card required.
