What is the role?
Infrastructure Projects within Property Command is responsible for the delivery of the organisations key capital works program including but not limited to, training facilities, security upgrades office refurbishment, new builds and specialist facilities projects nationally. These roles will assist with initiating, planning and implementing projects within time, budget, scope and resourcing constraints and while managing stakeholder expectations. This delivery is achieved through establishing and leading projects under AFP governance framework and delivering project outcomes through direct management of external contracts, including management, design and construction contracts and other contractors.
Successful candidates will have the ability to assist and support the Infrastructure Project Managers to deliver projects and their respective stakeholders across a range of levels and disciplines. These are critical support roles in a fast-paced environment and therefore requires a proactive can-do attitude, high levels of organisational skills, self-drive and initiative. You will be able to identify risks and work effectively under pressure in a changing environment to deliver outcomes.
As a member of Infrastructure Projects, you will be expected to foster and develop internal and external stakeholder relationships by working cohesively within a project specific environment, including anticipating the needs of others to ensure the delivery of project outcomes.
As a Team Member in the AFP, you will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
