About the Role
An excellent opportunity to join as a Plant Manager with a renowned global manufacturer of premium high-performance products at their Western Sydney site. The business is focused on driving innovation by advancing sustainable products, expanding service offerings, and leading the industry with cutting-edge technology to deliver best-in-class customer service.  

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead a high performing team of 5 to ensure your site is delivering a high level of performance and efficiency, and is safety compliant in its operational capabilities. Below is a brief summary of your overall responsibilities in the role:
  • Lead by example. Enhance team capabilities in areas of technical competence and operational efficiency. Foster a culture of high-performance and continual learning and improvement. 
  • Oversee all site operations including production, packaging & planning to meet customer demand and KPI targets. Drive cost-efficiency, waste reduction and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Drive Environment Health & Safety performance and compliance with corporate & regulatory requirements. Maintain site compliance & certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).   
  • Monitor, control and report on site financial performance metrics and budgets. Deliver site financial targets by driving efficiencies and close alignment to overall business strategy. 
  • Manage strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure manufacturing and service delivery is in alignment with ANZ and global standards. 
  • Work closely with the Operations Director to drive business performance, enhance capabilities, develop policies and procedures and execute quality service delivery.
About You
A self starter who proactively drives change and can handle multiple competing priorities. You are strategic in your approach and have the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, you are:
  • A well experienced Plant Manager with an engineering or operations management background (FMCG or Oils industry experience preferred).
  • You lead with empathy and will take on a mentoring and coaching approach to managing your team (Supervisors, Controllers & Schedulers) 
  • Possess strong knowledge in the areas of lean manufacturing, scheduling, fueling & blending, and the financial acumen to manage budgets and assess business performance. 
  • A proficient user of SAP/JDE. Strong skills in Excel, Power Point & MS Word required.
