About the Opportunity Talent Butler is delighted to partner with a leading national charitable organisation to appoint
a Facilities Portfolio Lead position based in Sydney, a pivotal role supporting the safe, efficient and compliant operation of a large and diverse property portfolio.
This organisation delivers essential services that empower individuals to live independently, thrive, and be the best version of themselves. With a growing network of supported living, therapy, and community engagement sites across NSW, they are seeking an experienced facilities professional who can combine technical expertise with a genuine commitment to service excellence.
The Role As the Facilities Portfolio Lead, you'll oversee a portfolio of properties in your assigned area and play a key role in maintaining high-quality, safe, and compliant facilities. Your focus will be on coordination, contractor management, and proactive maintenance planning to ensure that all sites operate smoothly and meet regulatory standards.
You'll be working as part of a large corporate head office when based on-site which is typically three days per week with two days working from home, or on the road at various assets. The role has no direct team-management responsibilities but your ability to manage up and down will see you thrive; communication is vitally important.

- Managing contractor performance and ensuring service-level compliance
- Coordinating reactive maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues efficiently

- Building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Coaching and mentoring others to strengthen facilities management capability
- Work closely alongside the broader property team of approximately 15-20 people including leasing staff General Managers, as well as charity support workers.
About You You'll bring a hands-on, proactive approach and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same. You're an effective communicator, an organiser by nature, and someone who finds purpose in creating safe, well-run environments that support people's wellbeing. Being open minded and agile enough to pivot to the needs of the business will play a big part in your effective time-management.
Ideal background: - Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities coordination, building services or property operations
