NexVentur is partnering with a leading Tier 2 civil contractor to recruit an experienced Project Engineer/ Senior Project Engineer with strong structural experience for a major federally funded infrastructure project. This project is one of Australia’s largest current transport infrastructure programs, involving complex civil, concrete and structural works.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile, long-term transport corridor project, delivering critical structural works including reinforced concrete, precast elements, bridge structures and civil interfaces.

As Project Engineer/ Senior Project Engineer (Structures), you will take ownership of structural packages from early works through to completion. This role offers strong career progression, hands-on project involvement, and exposure to one of the most significant infrastructure developments in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of structural works packages including reinforced concrete, precast and steel structures

• Review and interpret design documentation, drawings and specifications

• Oversee temporary works and ensure structural stability during construction

• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams

• Manage project schedules, budgets, cost forecasting and reporting

• Maintain high standards of site safety, quality assurance and compliance

• Conduct site inspections and resolve engineering issues in real time

• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development

• Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the structural scope

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

• 4+ years’ experience in structural delivery or structural design

• Proven track record delivering reinforced concrete and structural packages on major civil projects

• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and construction methodologies

• Experience in temporary works, propping and construction sequencing

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Commercial awareness and cost control experience

• Commitment to safety, quality and environmental best practice

Desirable:

• Experience on large road, rail, tunnel or bridge infrastructure projects

• Chartered or working towards Chartered status

• Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor background
