Key Responsibilities
Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans, and
kitchen scales.
Work under the instruction of the head chef.
Slightly modify recipes to meet customer needs and requests
Monitoring stock level and ordering accordingly to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Monitoring food preservation and rotation to ensure minimal wastage.
Operate within the guidelines set by the state for food handling.
Discuss food preparation issues with the team.
Ensure the quality and cleanliness of all food displays
Ensure the quality and cleanliness of all food displays
Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
We are looking for someone with the following attributes
Needs to have proper experience with breakfast/catering and western cooking for
more than 2 years.
Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or higher
Diploma in hospitality
Must be able to speak English and be living in Sydney.
Must have strong knife cutting skills.
Positive attitude, strong communication skills and motivated work ethic.
Ability to understand and comply with internal food policies and procedures and
consistently meet expected food quality standards
Understanding of best practices in food and handling requirements
Necessary certificates and qualifications
