ProQuest Recruitment is looking to appoint a highly skilled and safety conscious Warehouse Storeperson for a busy distribution centre in Prestons. This is a varied role which will see you undertake the process from start to finish; receiving through to despatch. This position will involve the use of RF scanners and paper pick slips, manual handling and forklift operation - including counterbalance and high reach operations. Day shift 7am-3pm.
In this position some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Loading and unloading of trucks using the counter-balance forklift
- Replenishment, picking and putaways of stock on the high reach forklift
- Paper Picking / RF Scanning
- Manual handling including palletising
- Working in all departments from receiving to despatch
We are looking for candidates who possess the following;
- Demonstrated High Reach Forklift experience on the Toyota
- Experience working in all areas of warehousing from receiving to despatch
- Outstanding work ethic and attitude
- A high attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexible with start & finish times in accordance with the volume of work
- Experience working both on a forklift and on the floor
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
