You'll take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the The Midwife Mumma business. Working closely with the Directors and external accountant and reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for managing all financial duties, including administrative tasks, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to be a key contributor to a growing local business.
Preferred knowledge and experience with Shopify & Unleashed preferred but not essential but au fait in excel and xero essential.
Your key responsibilities will include
Financial Leadership
· Lead development and implementation across all financial processes
· All month end duties including reconciliations, journals, BS, P&L, Revenue and expenses
· Full financial management including oversight of AP, AR, Payroll and PAYG.
· Managing budgeting and forecast vs actuals (accounting experience in consumables market a bonus)
· Providing advice on pricing and costing and general financial oversight to management
Financial Reporting and Monitoring
· Plan, design and deliver financial management solutions that ensure compliance
· Preparing annual financials
· Financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
· Work with senior management to provide insights on working capital management
· ATO reporting
· Handle staff reimbursements and bank transactions
· Evaluate the effectiveness and impact financial practices and make recommendations for continuous improvements
Suppliers/stockists financial interactions
· Prepare financial information on suppliers
· Stock control and inventory management
Other responsibilities
· Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external), embedding the role as a trusted partner across the organisation
· Other ad hoc duties as required
