About the role

As the Events Support Officer, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating high-quality continuing professional development (CPD) events, under the supervision of the Education Centre Manager. This includes webinars, hybrid and face-to-face events, symposiums, and conferences. You will also support the administration of event management platforms and provide coordination across the Education Centre’s activities.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Canberra, with flexible remote and hybrid working arrangements available.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate event project plans, budgets, timelines, and operations across multiple platforms.
  • Provide event support for CPD activities, conferences, and Centre for Advanced Learning courses.
  • Administer and maintain event management systems, including registration pages and technical operations.
  • Deliver high-level administrative support to resources offered to members, such as ProQuest, Practice-Based Evidence in Nutrition, and the Nutrition and Dietetics Journal.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives to evaluate and strengthen event-related processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to member and stakeholder enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

About you

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated professional with a passion for delivering high-quality events and excellent stakeholder support. You will bring:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating events, including webinars, hybrid and in-person formats.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills, with experience preparing reports and correspondence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and experience with event or learning management systems (desirable).
  • Experience in a not-for-profit or member-based organisation (desirable).

Why join us?

At Dietitians Australia, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven organisation that values diversity, inclusion and the impact of nutrition on communities across Australia. We offer:

  • A flexible hybrid or remote work environment.
  • Opportunities to contribute to the delivery of events that support professional learning and development for dietitians and nutrition professionals.
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture where your skills will help shape the success of our Education Centre.
  • The chance to work on a variety of dynamic and engaging projects that make a real difference.
