Share your demonstrated skills and experience in Anatomical Pathology with the team at Territory Pathology, Royal Darwin Hospital.

Territory Pathology, the public pathology network of the Northern Territory and provides pathology services to government and non-government organisations across the Northern Territory including the public and private hospitals, GPs’ Red Cross and Menzies.

As an Anatomic Pathology Scientist, you contribute to the provision of a timely, efficient, cost effective and high-quality service to the Department of Health and the public of the Northern Territory.

Your key duties include preparation and assisting surgical cut-up, perform specimen transfers, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, H&E staining, specialised staining and frozen section procedures, supporting Digital Pathology initiatives, and helping incorporate automated solutions within the Department. You will also be required to maintain effective and efficient clinical services by participating in rosters and on-call, as required, while implementing best practice within the available resources of the team. The laboratory performs all aspects of a diagnostic Anatomical Pathology laboratory in a primary tertiary teaching hospital, and cytology specimen preparation for interstate reporting.
