Financial Accountant (9-Month Temp Contract)

Are you an experienced Accountant looking for your next contract opportunity? Our client, a well-known organisation, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their friendly finance team of seven.
About the Role
This hands-on position will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of accounting operations during a busy transition period. You'll work closely with the Finance Manager and wider team to support month-end, year-end, and audit activities across both Australian and New Zealand entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes (Year-end: March 2026)
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations
- Support audit preparation and compliance activities
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure accuracy across Australian and NZ accounts
- Contribute to a smooth transition from Navision to SAP, and leverage Power BI for reporting and insights
About You
- Qualified and experienced Accountant with solid technical accounting knowledge
- Experience with SAP highly regarded
- Experience in a fast paced industry is a strong advantage
- Proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Support and back up team members as needed
