Medacs Healthcare are seeking skilled Mental Health Nurses to join the community mental health teams in Coffs Harbour. You'll provide assessments, interventions, and support to clients in community settings, working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Role Details

Contract Length: Minimum of 12 weeks availability, this allows for an adequate orientation and the opportunity to provide continuing care.

Locations: Our clients are based in various locations in Mid North Coast NSW

When: Start dates vary and are flexible to your availability. We want to find the perfect contract for you, whilst working with the facility and their staffing requirements.

Requirements to apply

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• A minimum of two years' experience in mental health community settings, preferably in regional, rural, or remote areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to completing on-boarding requirements
• Willingness to travel and work in regional or remote areas
• Full Australian working rights

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored care plans to support individual recovery goals
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions aligned with best practice standards
• Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support during acute episodes
• Assist clients with complex mental health needs in their homes and community environments
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, community organisations, and support services to ensure holistic care
