The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Group’s accounting operations and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting and taxation standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, standardising processes, and strengthening collaboration between onshore and offshore accounting teams.

The successful candidate will lead tax and compliance activities, manage month-end and year-end reporting, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and consistency across the Group. Additionally, the Accounting Supervisor will provide training and technical guidance to offshore teams (including China, Nepal, and other regions) and participate in the recruitment and supervision of accounting staff globally.

This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multicultural, cross-border finance operations effectively.


Key Responsibilities

Tax and Compliance: Managing and ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and lodgment of all tax compliance obligations for the Group's entities in Australia, including Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax (GST), Pay As You Go (PAYG), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT).

Financial Reporting: Overseeing the month end and year end closing processes to ensure the integrity of the general ledger and accurate preparation of financial statements

Process Standardization:Developing, implementing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the finance function to ensure consistency and efficiency across the Group.

Training and Supervision:Providing systematic training, technical guidance, and support to the offshore accounting teams (located in China, Nepal, and other locations) to ensure adherence to Australian Accounting Standards and company policies.

Recruitment and Team Management:You will be responsible for participating in the recruitment process for offshore accounting positions (e.g., in Nepal, Manila, and other locations)

General Duties: Performing any other tasks reasonably within your skills, experience, and capabilities as directed by the Company.


Essentials

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience

  • Strong proficiency in both Mandarin and English is highly regarded, as this role requires regular communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

  • Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and tax compliance requirements

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
