Position: Senior Plant Operator – Drainage Maintenance
Location: Stirling, Western Australia
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: From $75,442.74 base salary + super (based on experience)

Why You’ll Love This Role

You’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining and improving vital drainage infrastructure across a thriving, diverse community. As a Senior Plant Operator, you’ll operate a range of large plant, support your team, and help keep our city safe and running smoothly. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor others and step up as site leader when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate excavators, loaders, and jetting trucks
  • Lead site operations in Leading Hand’s absence
  • Perform drainage maintenance and minor construction
  • Ensure public and team safety at all times
  • Train and mentor plant operators on site
  • Complete site records, timesheets, and reports
  • Conduct traffic management for daily operations
  • Promote and implement safety procedures

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a skilled operator with a strong safety focus. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Secondary school education (Year 10 minimum)
  • Nationally accredited plant operation qualifications
  • Safety Awareness Training Certificate
  • Experience with drainage and road construction
  • Ability to supervise and train small teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current HR and/or HC driver’s licence
  • National Police Clearance (under 3 months)
