Freckles Kindy and Learning Centre is a locally owned and operated Childcare Centre in Highfields, dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment for children and their families.
We’re currently seeking a passionate and reliable Chef to prepare and deliver nutritious, home-style meals that support the health and development of children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
About the Role:Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children, catering to dietary needs and allergies.
Develop seasonal menus aligned with nutritional guidelines and centre policies.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
Work closely with educators and families regarding dietary requirements.
Manage kitchen supplies and ordering.
Experience cooking in a commercial kitchen, ideally in a childcare, school, or aged care setting.
Certificate in Food Safety or willingness to obtain.
Knowledge of nutritional guidelines for young children.
Excellent time management and organisation skills.
A warm, friendly personality and a love of working in a child-focused environment.
Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
