Water and Wastewater Engineer
Permanent Full Time
Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight with a supportive work/life balance
$120,459 - $127,807 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 7) + Superannuation

Your new role
As a Water & Wastewater Engineer joining our Fitzroy River Water team, you will play an integral part in a highly skilled team to engineer resilient and sustainable water infrastructure solutions.
We are seeking a motivated professional to step into the exciting and challenging role of Water & Wastewater Engineer to support and assist in the delivery of projects and ongoing operation and maintenance of Council’s water and wastewater assets.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) with demonstrated relevant industry experience.
Experience working on the design and / or management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects including pipelines and pump stations.
Knowledge of Australian water industry standards and guidelines.
Stakeholder management experience with both internal and external parties.
Dam Safety Training or ability to obtain within a set timeframe.

Application Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) and registered as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
Extensive relevant experience in the design, management, maintenance and / or operation of water and sewerage assets.
Demonstrated experience providing technical support on water and wastewater infrastructure projects including preparation of technical calculations, reports and other documentation.
Understanding and application of relevant Australian and industry standards and legislation.
Ability to prioritise workloads whilst developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
