About the business and the role
Pets Express Transport Services (PETS) is one of the leading pet transport company in Australia with offices in Melbourne and Sydney.
Successful applicants must:
LOVE ANIMALS
Must have certificate II in Animal care or over 2 years experience in animal care industry
Provide exceptional customer service at all times
Be well presented
Be Reliable
Be punctual
Be Physically fit (lifting of up to 25kg travel kennels is required)
Be enthusiastic and have a great work ethic
Have excellent communication skills
Be able to pay close attention to detail
Be able to work independently
Able to carry out all duties within set time frames
Ensure compliance of safety precautions at all times
Be available for early / late deliveries as required as well as occasional weekend / public holiday work (Hours may vary with minimum of 20 hours per week guaranteed)
Have a current police check
Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident
Must have full VIC drivers license
Job tasks and responsibilities
Your Role
The successful applicant will;
Collect and deliver pets from their residence / boarding kennels / airport / vet clinic.
Take pets to their pre flight Vet checks
Walk / play with pets prior to their travel
Clean and sanitise pet transit lounge facilities, vehicle and travel kennels
Drive a tool of trade animal transport vehicle during work hours
Collect and deliver documents
Skills and experience
Living in close proximity to Melbourne Airport is essential.
Previous experience working with pets is preferred.
Previous driving / delivery experience is preferred but not essential.
Basic computer skills are essential.
