Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Purchasing Officer to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and play a key role in both day-to-day purchasing and a major SAP implementation project.

The Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Purchasing Officer to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and play a key role in both day-to-day purchasing and a major SAP implementation project.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate logistics for inbound materials
- Follow up on outstanding orders and ensure timely delivery
- Prioritise workload to meet operational deadlines
- Conduct quality checks to ensure stock is accurate and defect-free
- Maintain accurate and timely purchasing documentation
- Build and manage effective supplier relationships
- Support the implementation and integration of SAP across purchasing functions
- Proven experience in purchasing and/or logistics, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system
- Experience supporting or participating in ERP implementation projects will be highly regarded
- High attention to detail and commitment to process compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general administrative systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
