The OpportunityWe’re seeking a qualified Leading Hand Carpenter to become a key part of our growing residential construction team in Townsville. This is a hands-on role that combines technical skill with leadership — perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring others and delivering top-quality results.
Your day-to-day will include:
Leading on-site teams across architectural builds, renovations & custom new homes
Hands-on carpentry through all phases of construction
Ensuring workmanship meets design and compliance standards
Coordinating with supervisors, trades, and clients
Maintaining site safety and efficiency at all times
This is a full-time, permanent position offering stability, variety, and the opportunity to grow with a respected local builder.
About YouYou’re a skilled carpenter who takes pride in your trade, communicates well with others, and thrives in a team environment. You lead by example and enjoy problem-solving on site.
You’ll need:
Trade qualification (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent)
Minimum 4 years’ experience in residential construction
Previous Leading Hand or team leadership experience (preferred)
Strong plan reading and technical understanding
White Card, current driver’s licence, own quality tools
A proactive, quality-focused attitude
