About the opportunity

Exciting opportunity for a Facility Manager – Last Mile, based at our Leightonfield DF within Central Territory, NSW/ACT Deliveries. This leadership role oversees end‑to‑end facility operations for parcel and mail delivery. You’ll drive performance, compliance and continuous improvement—championing a safety‑first culture while enabling innovation and efficiency across the network.

What you’ll deliver with us

Success looks like a high‑performing, safe and customer‑focused facility that meets service standards and Community Service Obligations (CSO), manages budgets effectively, and delivers measurable efficiency gains. You’ll report to the Territory Manager and work closely with Delivery and Parcel Delivery Managers, Business Services, Network Planning, and Safety, Finance and HR partners to achieve shared outcomes.

You’ll also

  • Lead day‑to‑day operations and execute short‑ and long‑term objectives in line with legal and legislative requirements.
  • Own facility budgets—identifying cost‑saving opportunities and improvements that uplift performance.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders (team members, contractors, unions, government and community) to deliver business outcomes and embed customer initiatives.
  • Build and sustain a strong safety leadership culture; coach and develop your team through regular 1:1s, team meetings and engagement activities.

About you

You’re a decisive operational leader who thrives in complex environments—commercially savvy, stakeholder‑smart and resilient under pressure. You motivate others, manage performance with clarity, and drive results while role‑modelling safety, integrity and inclusion.

You’ll also need

  • Significant operational leadership experience in a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong financial management and strategic planning capability.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience with industrial relations and union stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of OH&S, regulatory compliance and change/project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of network, postal/logistics sector and customer insights.
