Role Overview
As a Document Controller at Steelfinne Fabrications, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of information and documentation throughout various stages of our projects.
Note: Training will be provided for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update architectural registers, ensuring version control and tracking document revisions so only the latest versions are in use.
Perform document control using Aconex and Procore.
Distribute project documents to internal teams, contractors, and clients, ensuring timely access to critical information.
Maintain detailed logs of document submissions, transmittals, and approvals.
Track and follow up on document reviews, approvals, and feedback.
Distribute construction drawings to the factory and clients.
Generate and distribute schedules for purchasing.
Maintain and update the master Bill of Materials (BOM).
Issue as-built drawings at the end of each project.
Provide administrative support during project planning, execution, and closeout.
Generate drawing status reports and support the preparation of technical documentation packages for clients or regulatory authorities.
Requirements
Proven experience in document control or related administrative roles, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Experience using document management systems (Aconex and/or Procore experience highly desirable).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy and accountability.
Familiarity with architectural drawings and construction processes is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
