The Department:
Centrally located federal government department.
The Role:
We're recruiting APS6 and EL1 finance business partner roles which are available for an immediate start via 12 months labour hire contracts. Your duties will include:
The roles have multiple stakeholders which will see you quickly develop an internal brand within the business area. You’ll directly engage with SES1 and 2s and will need to be confident in your ability to do this.
They are looking for people who can engage at a senior level with clients, and have the technical ability to confidently collate, analyse and deliver financial advice. The area is fast moving and has developed a supportive culture and environment.
Your Skills and Experience:
You are an experienced professional with federal government accounting experience at the APS6/EL1 level or equivalent. Exposure to broad finance roles such as business partnering is highly regarded. Stakeholder engagement is one of your strengths and something that you thrive on. You’re comfortable and familiar with reviewing and assessing high risk, and high value procurements.
You must be an Australian Citizen with an NV1 clearance or higher to be able to start in this role.

- EOM and EOFY reporting
- Variance analysis and monthly management reporting packs
- WIP and other regular reporting and analysis on project financials
- Budget management advice and scenario planning
