Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Tradesman

Location: Perth Metro (occasional work in the Wheatbelt and Kalgoorlie)

MJM Mech Services is a small but growing company specializing in air conditioning installation and maintenance. We work across domestic homes, childcare centers, and commercial buildings, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and reliable service.

The Role
We’re looking for a qualified Air Conditioning Tradesperson to take on a lead role within our team. In this position, you’ll be responsible for managing jobs on-site, working independently as well as alongside an apprentice or trade assistant.

The role involves a combination of installation and servicing, with a strong focus on domestic and commercial installations—including ducted systems. While there will still be some servicing work, the position is primarily geared towards installation across both residential and light commercial sites.

This is a great opportunity for someone who’s confident on the tools and ready to take ownership of their work.

MJM Mech Services is also looking for a motivated 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Apprentice to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and politeness

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults effectively

• Solve problems and present solutions calmly under pressure

• Extensive experience with breakdowns, servicing, and installations

Qualifications/Skills:

• Must have a Refrigerant Handling License

• Must have a Restricted Electrical License

• Preferred: Working at heights certification, confined space training, and EWP certification

• Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

Salary & Benefits:

• $55- $60 per hour for experienced tradesmen

• Company-supplied van
