The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Library Technician to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Assist staff with specialist information and resource access.
  • Support literature research, citation searches, and document delivery.
  • Manage library collections, acquisitions, cataloguing, and data quality.
  • Provide excellent customer service with strong communication skills.
  • Promote library services and contribute to training and policy updates.

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Possession of a Diploma for Library Technicians or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution providing eligibility for Library Technician Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary part-time (6 months with the possibility of extension, 30.4 hrs p.f.)
  • Base salary ranging from $45.81 - $49.61 per hour

About Us

The Research unit provides a focal point for research, including clinical trials, and supports a diverse range of research program across the Gold Coast. The unit works in close collaboration with GCHHS workforce and external stakeholders, including Bond University, Griffith University, and Southern Cross University, as well as national and international institutions. The unit supports GCHHS staff to undertake high-quality research through providing research governance, compliance, and development opportunities that build research capabilities across
the organisation. The Research unit also Includes the Health Systems Research Group that undertakes primary research and supports GCHHS staff to undertake evaluations on new models of care and other transformation initiatives. The Research team embraces and supports high-quality research to drive the best possible care for the community.
