Overview

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review civil engineering drawings for residential and low-rise developments, including structural assessments such as load calculations, foundation design and drainage layouts.
Use engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) to produce and support technical documentation.
Review geotechnical reports, coordinate soil testing and evaluate materials, construction methods and engineering specifications to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and local council requirements.
Assist in developing construction plans, schedules and resource requirements, and provide onsite engineering support through monitoring progress, identifying issues and recommending technical solutions.
Liaise with subcontractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure works follow approved designs, review design variations and assess impacts on cost, schedule and compliance.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to engineering specifications, the NCC and WHS requirements.
Implement quality control procedures, ensure civil works comply with relevant codes and safety standards, and prepare engineering reports, technical notes and progress documentation for stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or civil & Structural Engineering.
Minimum 3 years professional experience in civil engineering across building, infrastructure or construction projects.
Proven experience preparing construction plans, cost estimates, schedules, and managing design changes.
Proficiency in common civil engineering software such as AutoCAD and other design or analysis tools relevant to project requirements.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, foundation design, load analysis, and structural assessment.
Experience coordinating on-site labour, materials, machinery, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
Demonstrated experience conducting site inspections, material testing, and quality assurance.
Effective communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Mandarin–English bilingual skills are an advantage.
