Charterhouse are partnered with one of our long-standing clients who are looking for a manager for one of their Business Advisory teams.
Our client is a fast growing and progressive public practice firm, with a team of around 20 across Sydney and Melbourne, they specialise in Family Governance & Strategy, Tax and Accounting, Wealth Management and Business Advisory including VCFO
Their clients are mainly ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family groups, The culture is tight knit where people genuinely enjoy their work, working together and provide high quality services to their clients.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Services Manager to join one of their Business Advisory teams. This role sits directly under the director of the team and you will help to manage a team and a portfolio of clients completing the tax and compliance work for clients along with some CFO work for select clients.
Clients the firm have include some with turnovers exceeding $200m, as well as international clients, complex multi-entity groups, and UHNWI

About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Services Manager to join one of their Business Advisory teams. This role sits directly under the director of the team and you will help to manage a team and a portfolio of clients completing the tax and compliance work for clients along with some CFO work for select clients.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of 2 onshore staff and an offshore accountant
- Helping to manage a portfolio worth $1.5mill in fees
- Advisory work, review work, providing CFO services to select clients
- Tax planning and restructuring advice
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team, developing future leaders
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years in Australian public practice (intermediate to senior level)
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experience managing a team and reviewing work of onshore and offshore accountants
- A keen interest in VCFO work
- Strong communication skills
- Competitive salary + generous bonus structure (15% salary bonus if KPIs are met)
