The Opportunity: Project Manager – Capital Works & Infrastructure (2-Year Fixed Term)
CPD has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to deliver major capital works and infrastructure projects for a large food processing company.
The Project Manager is a hands-on role leading the planning and delivery of construction, equipment installation, rendering, utilities, and site infrastructure projects. Day-to-day you will have responsibility for the effective management of all phases of complex projects, from establishment to handover and project closure. The role requires coordinating thought and leadership skills, engaging with the client, a range of stakeholders and contractors to maximise outcomes.
This opportunity will primarily be located at the client premises (located between Launceston and Latrobe) and will be offered on a fixed-term, 2-year contract with potential for review.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget with minimal impact on operations.
Coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities across multiple sites.
Oversee contractor performance, WHS compliance, commissioning, and handover.
Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, IT/OT, and compliance teams.
Manage budgets, schedules, risk registers, and project documentation.
Contribute to PMO and executive reporting; support procurement and variation management.
Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and food safety standards.
About You
