You’ll also play a key role in lifting the visibility of AUSMASA’s work as a national Jobs and Skills Council, strengthening how we connect, inform, and influence.

This is a Fixed-Term opportunity till June 2028.

Strategic leadership:

Lead the design and delivery of a cohesive communications and marketing strategy that strengthens AUSMASA’s presence and influence across the VET and workforce sectors.

Build a connected, informed, and engaged workplace culture through clear and consistent internal messaging.

Team leadership:

Guide and mentor a small communications team, fostering creativity, accountability, and collaboration across projects.

Collaboration and influence:

Work closely with senior leaders, project teams, and external partners to ensure communications amplify AUSMASA’s impact across the Jobs and Skills Council network.

• Proven experience leading communications or marketing functions, ideally within complex or reform-focused environments.

• Strong digital and storytelling capability, from shaping strategy to delivering hands-on content.

• Experience mentoring others and building communication capability across teams.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted partnerships.

• A collaborative, proactive approach and the confidence to influence at all levels.

Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field are essential.

Why Join AUSMASA?

At AUSMASA, you’ll be part of a team driving meaningful change that shapes Australia’s future workforce in the mining and automotive sectors. We’re collaborative, inclusive, and purpose-driven, and we value people who want to make an impact.

You’ll enjoy:

• A supportive and flexible hybrid work environment

• Opportunities for professional growth and meaningful collaboration

• Work that makes a national difference

• A culture built on respect, inclusion, and wellbeing
