About the Role
We are currently seeking the services of reliable and experienced FULL TIME and CASUAL Maritime Security Officers (MSGs) to join our team at Port of Melbourne, Victoria.
Paid training provided and all positions are paid under the Security Services Industry Award, which includes night, weekend and overtime loading.
The primary functions of this role will include, but are not limited to;
Performing the role of a Maritime Security Guard in accordance with the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003
Access control duties
Ensuring the security of assets and personnel
Monitoring CCTV systems
Mobile (vehicle) and foot patrols
Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will have excellent verbal and written English skills with the ability to work flexible hours (24/7 rotating shifts - days, nights, afternoons & weekends) as well as the following:
Current Victorian Security Licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Drivers Licence
Candidates who have a current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) will be highly regarded
Ability to use varied Security, CCTV and Access Control Systems
Team orientated nature and excellent communication skills
Excellent presentation and grooming
Drive and motivation to improve services and processes as required
High-level customer service focus with a “can-do-attitude”
