About the Role
We are seeking qualified electricians for full-time, permanent roles to support solar farm construction projects across multiple regional locations. Our current project is underway in Meryvale, NSW, with ongoing work forecast across both New South Wales and Queensland.
Successful candidates must be ready for an immediate start, committed to the full duration of the current project, and open to continuing work across future sites. All employment conditions are aligned with the Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2020 [MA000025].
Key Features and Benefits
Full-time permanent position under the Award
Projects based across multiple solar farm sites in NSW and QLD
Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 38 ordinary hours per week, with overtime as required
Paid overtime in accordance with the Award (Level 1 and Level 2 rates)
Accommodation and LAFHA provided where applicable
Completion bonuses available for meeting project milestones
Strong focus on safety, compliance, and trade quality
Employees perform duties both at the project site and the West Ballina depot as required, including installation, construction, testing, and reporting of daily progress.
Remuneration
Hourly rate: $42.00
Annual base salary (based on 38 ordinary hours/week): $87,360
All entitlements are in accordance with the Electrical Award, and overtime is paid separately based on actual hours worked.
Day-to-Day Duties
Electricians working with Stralis Energy will be responsible for:
Installing and wiring solar PV systems, including combiner boxes, inverters, and cable trays
Terminating and testing cables in accordance with electrical drawings and standards
Reading and interpreting electrical plans, schematics, and layout diagrams
Troubleshooting faults and conducting continuity, voltage, and insulation resistance testing
Working collaboratively with supervisors and site teams to meet daily construction targets and safety obligations
Essential Requirements
Certificate III in Electrotechnology
Current LVR/CPR certification
White Card (Construction Induction)
Current Driver’s Licence
Own basic hand tools
Understanding of DC systems (solar experience beneficial)
Physically fit and able to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug/alcohol screening
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working within set productivity expectations
Additional Expectations
Compliance with Stralis Energy’s zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy
Ability to travel to sites (up to 50km) in personal time
Willingness to work overtime as required
Adherence to workplace health and safety and conduct expectations
Readiness to undergo medical assessments if requested
Ability to operate within changing site-based schedules and team structures
