About the Role
Wagners are seeking experienced and safety-minded Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our team on a Fixed-Task Contract in Central West QLD.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, diagnosis of faults and assembly of heavy vehicles and mobile equipment, with a focus on Heavy Road Transport Vehicles.
What we offer
$42.06 p/hr + Site Allowance of $12.09 p/hr + Super on all hours worked
FIFO from all capital cities + Accommodation + Meals
5 weeks annual leave + competitive pay rate
2:1 roster (1 week of days, 1 week of nights, 1 week off)

What you’ll be doing
Complete all maintenance requirements of company vehicles in a timely manner
Attend vehicle breakdowns, emergency situations and unforeseen circumstances
Maintain a safe work environment at all times
Perform vehicle and mobile equipment diagnostics
Complete associated paperwork with work orders
Observe and adhere all rules and regulations associated with the Role & Site
Observe, adhere to & promote our Guiding Principles and policies
What we’re looking for
Current & valid Drivers Licence
Certificate III (or higher) in Heavy Commercial Vehicle or Transport (applications from 4th year apprentices are welcomed & encouraged)
2 years’ experience in a similar industry (desired)
Knowledge of Kenworth Prime Movers & Side Tippers (desired)
Knowledge & understanding of Electronic Fault Diagnostic Equipment
Knowledge & understanding of NHVAS requirements
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices
Adaptability & comfort in working in rural and remote locations
