The Role

MQ Health Cardiology Clinic is seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist's to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative clinic environment.

The Cardiac Physiologist is a vital member of the MQ Health Cardiology team at MQ Health, providing essential technical and clinical support for cardiology diagnostics and procedures. In this role, you will perform, analyse, and provide reports of patient electrocardiograms and related tests. This role is instrumental in preparing, managing, and applying technological skills in cardiac equipment for a variety of cardiology interventions. You will have exposure to a wide variety of complex structural heart cases and coronary physiology studies (microvascular).

You will work as part of a team to ensure a patient-centred focus and work with fellow clinicians and support service teams to provide high-quality patient experience and expert cardiac diagnostic services. The role requires proficient communication skills and a strong commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate in your resume and a
1-page cover letter that you possess:

  • A degree in science, with a preference for health science, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathology
  • Interest in learning advanced cardiac diagnostics (EP, Echo or Pacing) is preferred
  • Echo experienced physiologists with an interest to learn Cath Lab/EP
  • will also be considered
  • Membership to Professionals in Cardiac Sciences Australia (PICSA) and ACCP (desirable)
  • Experience or knowledge in providing cardiac tests and screening such as Holter Monitoring, Stress Testing, ambulatory blood pressure monitors and event monitors.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret results and provide reports on the results of stress tests and holter monitors
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases
  • Experience in writing reports and managing data
  • Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills and ability to build rapport and empathise with patients
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuing professional
    development.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage workloads within established
    routines, methods and procedures
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to uphold and be a steward of the Mission, Vision and Values of MQ Health
