Social Media & Marketing Manager (Casual / Freelance)
Hybrid | $35–$45/hr depending on experience | 1 day onsite per week
About Us
Buddies Supports is a boutique NDIS-registered disability service that provides respite care and community access for children and young adults. We’re not your typical support provider — our team is young, energetic, and passionate about creating meaningful experiences and real connections.
The Role
We’re looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media & Marketing Manager to help bring the “Buddies” story to life. You’ll create engaging, authentic content that showcases our programs, team culture, and the incredible work happening every day. This is a flexible casual/freelance role with a mix of remote work and 1 day per week onsite to film and capture content.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, create, and manage social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Develop and maintain monthly content calendars aligned with brand goals
• Visit our respite house or community programs weekly to capture photos and video content
• Manage posting schedules, captions, and engagement
• Support broader marketing tasks like newsletters, flyers, and campaigns
• Collaborate with the directors and staff to share stories that reflect our values and impact
About You
• Experience in social media management, content creation, or marketing
• Confident in filming, editing, and creating short-form video content (Reels, Stories, etc.)
• Familiar with Canva, Meta Business Suite, and other social tools
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently
• Driver’s licence preferred for travel to filming locations
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
• Flexible hours and hybrid setup — work remotely with one onsite day each week
• Creative freedom to make an impact and shape our online presence
• Supportive, values-driven team that genuinely cares about people
• Opportunity to grow your portfolio with purpose-led, real-world content
