The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a well-established and high-performing retail group with a strong presence globally. Due to internal movements and year-end demands, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the team on an initial 6-month contract, with potential to go permanent.
Key Responsibilities
We’re partnering with a well-established and high-performing retail group with a strong presence globally. Due to internal movements and year-end demands, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the team on an initial 6-month contract, with potential to go permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily sales revenue, invoices, rebates, and credit notes across retail channels
- Assist with month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, and revenue reporting
- Maintain accounts receivable ledger and support debtor follow-ups
- Reconcile POS, EFTPOS, and online payment platforms with bank feeds
- Prepare weekly sales, revenue, and variance reports for management
- Liaise with store teams and finance to resolve billing or revenue discrepancies
- Support audits and ensure accurate financial records in line with policies
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience working within retail (beneficial but not essential)
- Immediately available to start
