The Opportunity:
As a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of civil infrastructure works including:
  • Bulk earthworks and pavements
  • Roads and intersection upgrades
  • Drainage and sewer infrastructure
  • Water and utility services
  • Power and communications work
  • Landscaping and external civil works
This role involves practical, hands-on delivery, coordinating survey, procurement, subcontractors, and day-to-day site operations. You will be involved in virtually all aspects of project delivery, including:
  • Programming & Planning – Develop and update construction programs to meet milestones
  • Contracts & Procurement – Manage subcontractor packages and negotiate pricing
  • Cost Control & Forecasting – Track budgets and provide accurate financial reporting
  • Progress Claims & Variations – Prepare claims and assist with pricing and approvals
  • Resource Coordination – Organise labour, plant, and materials for efficient delivery
  • Quality & Site Management – Oversee daily operations and maintain high standards
  • HSEQ Compliance – Drive strong safety and quality performance across all works
  • Client Relationships – Communicate effectively and build lasting clients trust
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Local contractor experiences delivering a range of projects like roads, drainage, earthworks or water infrastructure
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Keen, hands-on, team-focused personality – able to work well with others while taking ownership of delivery
