The Opportunity: As a
Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of civil infrastructure works including:
- Bulk earthworks and pavements
- Roads and intersection upgrades
- Drainage and sewer infrastructure
- Water and utility services
- Power and communications work
- Landscaping and external civil works
This role involves practical, hands-on delivery, coordinating survey, procurement, subcontractors, and day-to-day site operations. You will be involved in virtually all aspects of project delivery, including:
- Programming & Planning – Develop and update construction programs to meet milestones
- Contracts & Procurement – Manage subcontractor packages and negotiate pricing
- Cost Control & Forecasting – Track budgets and provide accurate financial reporting
- Progress Claims & Variations – Prepare claims and assist with pricing and approvals
- Resource Coordination – Organise labour, plant, and materials for efficient delivery
- Quality & Site Management – Oversee daily operations and maintain high standards
- HSEQ Compliance – Drive strong safety and quality performance across all works
- Client Relationships – Communicate effectively and build lasting clients trust
What You Need to Succeed: - Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Local contractor experiences delivering a range of projects like roads, drainage, earthworks or water infrastructure
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Keen, hands-on, team-focused personality – able to work well with others while taking ownership of delivery
