Currently, we are seeking a Field Service Electrician at Botany due to project demand.
Responsibilities
- Traveling to customer locations across both metropolitan and regional/remote areas, often involving extended road trips, flights, and multi-day stays in hotels.
- Performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on X-ray and trace detection systems at client sites and Smiths Detection service centers.
- Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance activities in line with service agreements and timelines.
- Addressing equipment malfunctions and conducting corrective maintenance in accordance with service level agreements and performance targets.
- Using tools like multimeters, laptops, and built-in system software to test components and circuits in X-ray machines.
- Identifying and troubleshooting the underlying causes of mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in equipment operating at 24 volts or below.

- Must be an Australian citizen or hold currently hold a permanent resident visa
- Hold a Certificate 3 Electrical Trade Qualification
- Provisional or unrestricted driver’s license
- Ability to obtain security clearances and industry licenses
