Job Description:
We are seeking qualified Dry and Wet Fire Technicians and Electricians to join our team, working on the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of dry and wet fire protection systems, electrical systems, and related equipment across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. While experience is highly valued, we also offer training for motivated candidates looking to build a rewarding career in fire engineering and building services.
Primary Duties:
· Conduct regular inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of dry and wet fire systems and electrical systems to ensure ongoing functionality and compliance.
· Install, service, and maintain fire detection, fire alarm, wet fire systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels), fire suppression, and electrical systems in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
· Carry out repairs on fire protection and electrical systems, including diagnosing faults, replacing components, and restoring systems to full operational status.
· Accurately record all work completed on site using web-based platforms such as Uptick (or similar) to maintain real-time updates and compliance documentation.
· Complete system upgrades and retrofits as needed.
· Prepare and maintain clear and accurate service records, reports, and compliance documents.
· Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding work progress, requirements, and system operations.
· Provide on-call support and attend emergency service calls when required.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Maintain a high standard of health and safety on all job sites.
· Assist with project planning and coordination where needed.
· Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new technologies, standards, and regulatory updates.
· Identify and recommend system improvements or upgrades to clients.
Requirements:
· Previous experience as a Dry and Wet Fire Technician or Electrician preferred
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Good communication and teamwork abilities
· Relevant certifications/licensing
· Valid Australian driver’s license
