About the role
The Cruiser Company is seeking a skilled and experienced Sand Blaster to join our team in Pakenham, VIC. This full-time role is responsible for preparing and finishing various surfaces using sandblasting techniques to achieve high-quality results.
What you'll be doing
Safely operating and maintaining sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces
Selecting the appropriate abrasive materials and techniques based on the surface requirements
Adhering to all health and safety procedures and environmental regulations
Collaborating with the supervisor, powder coater and packaging team to meet production targets and deadlines
Providing input on process improvements and identifying opportunities for increased efficiency
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a Sand Blaster or in a similar surface preparation role
Proficiency in operating and maintaining sandblasting equipment
Knowledge of different abrasive materials and their appropriate uses
The ability to work off a schedule and be autonomous
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Good communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety
